OoopsT Remover for the Lips
&
Fooops® SenseCosmeticsT Color Remover
OoopsT and Fooops® are formulated to gently
remove the patented long-lasting color technology of SenseCosmeticsT.
They are both to be used as a remover only after the color technology
has been on the skin for a number of hours, as there is no instant
color remover for the products.
OoopsT and Fooops® work as unbinders for the color technology.
The color technology molecularly binds to the skin. As the color
is loosened from the skin after hours of exposure to the pH
of the skin, OoopsT and Fooops® lift the color technology from
skin so it may be removed with a warm, damp wash cloth.
The key to formulating the perfect removers for the color technology
is to provide an effective and gentle remover while moistening
and softening the skin.
* Science Behind the Product
OoopsT Remover
Fooops® Remover
- Butylene Glycol is a humectant that retains scent and preserves
against spoilage.
- Diglycerin is a humectant derived from Glycerin.
- PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate is a water-absorbing base material
and natural emulsifier. The number 80 refers to a molecular
type.
- Sodium PCA is a naturally occurring component of human
skin that is believed to be partially responsible for its moisture-binding
capacity. It is extremely water absorbing and at high humidity,
dissolves in its own water hydration. Application of this compound
is as a skin humectant that increases the skin's softness.
- Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a surfactant, cleansing ingredient
and foam booster.
- Sodium Laureth 13 is used as a wetting and cleansing agent
and a water softener.
- Citric Acid: Used as a preservative and sequestering ingredient
(a preservative that prevents physical or chemical changes affecting
color, flavor, texture or appearance of a product) to adjust
alkali balance, and is also used as an astringent.
- Phenoxyethanol is an oily liquid used as a bactericide
and topical antiseptic.
Both Removers are extremely economical
to use:
A customer usually only needs to purchase OoopsT Remover one
time. After the customer uses LipSense® Lip Color for a while,
they learn to determine how long their lip color shade last on
them based upon the pH balance of their skin's surface.
You only need to use Fooops® SenseCosmeticsT Color Remover
once at the end of each day prior to washing your face before
bed time.
When applying Fooops® SenseCosmeticsT Color Remover to the
skin - first pump one to two dollops into the palm of your hands.
Dilute Fooops® by adding a few drops of warm water and stir. Apply
to face and let set for about 20 seconds before removing with
a warm wet wash cloth.

SeneGence®
SeneCeuticals
The Tongue Twister That Delivers
Or
"What did you say?"
SeneCeuticalsT is the name of the entire product
line offered by SeneGence® Independent Distributors. SeneCeuticalsT
Anti-Aging System is a combination of SeneDerm® Anti-Aging SkinCare
and Anti-Aging Long-Lasting Color SenseCosmeticsT that makes
.
looking beautiful and staying beautiful
a reality
SeneCeuticalsT is the new word that describes
an unprecedented, innovative, anti-aging system that really
works to make skin more beautiful through the use of highly
advanced anti-aging skincare and anti-aging color cosmetics.
"Unbelievable.the first of its kind - A cosmeceutical
category of their own." To best understand why SeneCeuticalsT
is in a product category of its very own, you must first understand
what makes SeneGence® SeneCeuticalsT different from other products
that claim to be beneficial to the skin.
* Science Behind the Product
SeneGence® SeneDerm® with SenePlex® SkinCare
System and the Long-Lasting Color Technology of SenseCosmeticsT
with SenePlex® exceed the industry's strictest standards for
ingredient and production requirements. Key words listed below
in bold will help you best explain to others what SeneCeuticalsT
are, as well as what they are not.
- Molecular Weights: Great time and care have been taken
to formulate our anti-aging products with ingredients that actually
affect the skin. This has been achieved through the use of varying-sized
molecules, or the molecular weights of the ingredients in each
of the products.
- Permeable Membrane: Our skin is a permeable membrane -
it is porous. That means if an ingredient is made of molecules
small enough to penetrate through this porous membrane (our
skin) the ingredient could then affect the way in which cells
grow from beneath the skin's surface. However, if the molecule
is too big, it simply stays on the surface of the skin.
- Cosmeceuticals: Within the cosmetics and personal care
industries, the use of the term cosmeceuticals describes creams
and lotions from which the skin may derive benefits such as
nutrients and vitamins, etc. What most people do not know is
that the nutrients and vitamins contained within these creams
and lotions are made of molecules that are too big to penetrate
through the skin. No matter how much money you spend on these
products, they do not work! The term cosmeceutical is often
used as a marketing pitch to sell products. There are no rules
that instruct companies to tell the uninformed masses that their
products may contain only a tiny bit of the nutrients and vitamins
upon which they claim to be a cosmeceutical, nor do they have
to tell you the molecules of these ingredients are too large
to penetrate the skin.
- Comedogenic (co-me-doe-genic): Comedogenic refers to ingredients
that clog pores. Products made of molecules that are too big
to penetrate the skin's surface are often found to be comedogenic
(or pore clogging) as they are only surface products.
- SeneCeuticalsT: SeneDerm® with SenePlex® and the long-lasting
color technology of SenseCosmeticsT with SenePlex® are made
of ingredients of varied molecular weights. Some molecules are
small enough to deliver the benefits of SenePlex® Complex into
the bottom of the second layer of skin while other molecules
are just large enough to offer the skin's surface a layer of
protection from free radicals in the atmosphere and prevent
skin's moisture loss.
- Non-Comedogenic: Refers to ingredients made of molecular
weights (sizes) that do not clog pores. Even the largest molecular
weights of SeneCeuticalsT that help prevent moisture loss and
fight free radicals are not large enough to clog pores.
- Product Claims: SeneGence® SeneCeuticalsT have been sent
to an independent Laboratory for testing. The laboratory not
only verified our in-house test, but their tests were even more
significant! These verified tests are the results SeneGence®
publishes in the front pages of the SeneCeuticalsT Beauty Book.
You need to know that less than 5% of today's product manufacturers
send their products for independent testing. You can now clearly
see why!
SeneCeuticalsT are non-comedogenic and really work! That is
why we are in a cosmeceutical category of our very own!
SeneCeuticalsT is the combination of the proprietary formulation
of SeneDerm® with SenePlex® SkinCare System combined with the
patented long-lasting color technology of creamy SenseCosmeticsT
with SenePlex®.
The SenseCosmeticsT line of creamy, color cosmetics delivers
the same continuous benefits of our skincare line. The use of
SeneCeuticalsT both day and night compounds the benefits for a
more beautiful complexion through the use of a simple skincare
process and application of amazing, versatile anti-aging color
cosmetics.
The SeneDerm® with SenePlex® SkinCare System formulas and
creamy SenseCosmeticsT with SenePlex® contain a proprietary skincare
ingredient called SenePlex® Complex. SenePlex® Complex is a unique
combination of ingredients that, when used properly, accelerates
cellular renewal growth. The SeneDerm® with SenePlex® SkinCare
System makes beautiful, healthy skin a reality over an eight-week
period of time by increasing:
· The Skin's Cellular Renewal Cycle an average of 23.3%
· Moisture and hydration an average of 54.2%
· Skin firmness and elasticity by an average of 51.9%
· Luminosity an average of 48.7%
· Reduces fine lines and wrinkles by an average of 55.7%
The application of long-lasting SeneGence® SenseCosmeticsT
with SenePlex®, used in conjunction with the SeneDerm® SkinCare
System with SenePlex®, continues to deliver the same benefits
to your skin, even while wearing color cosmetics. Long-lasting
SenseCosmeticsT with SenePlex® enforces anti-aging effectives
by layering each SenseCosmeticsT with SenePlex® as you apply your
makeup because:
· Each layer of SenseCosmeticsT with SenePlex® provides more SenePlex®
Complex
· The long-lasting properties of SenseCosmeticsT with SenePlex®
aids as a barrier to protect the skin from environmental harshness.
· The application of a MakeSenseT Foundation with SenePlex®, layered
on top of any SeneDerm® Daytime Moisturizer, gives your skin the
benefit of a mechanical shield (when combined together) that is
boosted to the equivalent of a waterproof SPF 30.

SenePlex®
Complex
What is it EXACTLY and How Does It Work?
* Science Behind the Product
SenePlex® Complex is the proprietary complex
formulated into every SeneDerm® & SenseCosmeticsT cream product.
The "SenePlex® Complex" is a unique combination of ingredients
which, when used properly, accelerates cellular renewal growth.
SenePlex® Complex is:
- An "Active" - An active ingredient is an ingredient or
combination of ingredients that impact the way in which a process
happens.
- The "Actives" are a "Kinetic Enzyme" - Kinetic Enzymes
create energy. This means that SenePlex® speeds up the natural
process of reproducing cells without changing the process itself.
Here's Why:
SenePlex® Complex is a mixture of unique ingredients and raw
materials contained within a delivery system that allows for penetration
and delivery of the SenePlex® actives into the second layer of
the skin, the dermis. At the very base of this layer, the actives
create a kinetic enzyme reaction and increase the cellular growth
production. Increasing cellular growth has a substantial impact
upon the health and conditions of the skin.
Simply stated: SenePlex® Complex impacts the growth of living
cells and increases the cellular renewal process at a rate never
before seen in the cosmetics and skincare industry.
Here's How:
SenePlex® Complex's direct effects upon the skin: In the normal
course of cellular production, cells are generally dehydrated
and hardened by the time they reach the outer layer of the epidermis.
As cellular production increases (speeds up by SenePlex® Complex),
cells on the way to the surface of the epidermis are replaced
with newer cells faster.
- Moisture Content - The dehydration process of these newer
cells has not been completed, even as they are replaced with
the cells rising to the top from underneath. Moisture content
is improved through increased cellular production. Cells maintain
a greater amount of moisture making them more plump and supple.
- Luminosity- Replacing older dead cells with cells that
maintain greater moisture content makes skin more luminous.
When light touches the surface of dead cells, the light is absorbed,
making dull complexions. However, when light touches a cell
containing moisture, the light reflects off of the moisture
making skin glow.
- Firmness and Elasticity - Increased cellular growth also
means less time for cells to naturally loose collagen content
and break down elastin fibers that make the skin sag. Increased
cellular production helps to increase firmness and elasticity
of the skin naturally due to the retention of moisture in and
around the cells.
- Fine Lines and Wrinkles - Fine lines and wrinkles are often
attributed to the build up of dehydrated, dead skin that has
been compacted into certain areas of the skin surface. With
healthy, moist, luminous cells produced at a constant and increased
rate, fine lines and wrinkles diminish because dead, dry flat
cells are replaced with fuller plumper cells from the bottom
up. Also, the SeneDerm 3-in-1 Cleansers maintain the surface
exfoliation process to ensure the fullest, plumpest cells are
on the skin's surface.
- Balancing and Diminishing Skin's Discoloration - With increased
cellular growth, it is conceivable to imagine that non-genetic
color spots created by unhealthy skin could be replaced by healthier,
more beautiful skin. This can result in a more evenly-colored
skin surface, making your complexion appear smoother.
- Blemished Skin Types - If cells are being produced at an
increased speed, small lesions created by blemishes could possibly
heal faster.
SeneGence® sent samples of the product to an independent laboratory
to verify our in-house test results of SenePlex® Complex for publication.
You should know that less than 5% of products in the marketplace
today do this, even though they claim "marketed results," or "unverified,
self-tested results" for spin.
The Independent Laboratory tests were based upon the use of
the product (Evening Moisturizer) over the course of eight weeks.
Amazingly, 100% of those tested experienced significant changes
in their skin. The results are as follows:
When using SeneDerm® and SenseCosmeticsT with SenePlex®, there
is no need to use topical products like acid peels that strip
away the signs of aging. The signs of aging will be back the next
day and weeks because the cells are still growing to the top of
the skin in the typical cellular aging way. When using SeneDerm®
and SenseCosmeticsT with SenePlex®, healthy skin continuously
grows from the bottom up for as long as you use the products.

Understated
- Unscented - Uniquely You
No longer must you choose between your favorite
moisturizer and your preferred parfum. The conflict of your
senses is a thing of the past!
Now you can layer your SeneCa
Parfum with SenePlex® while maintaining your skin's
precious moisture balance using SeneDerm®
with SenePlex® Moisturizing Unscented Body Lotion to
keep the skin all over your body properly moisturized and
protected. Consistent usage will help maintain the soft, youthful
appearance of natural, hydrated skin - and now it can be done
in an unscented fashion.
SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Moisturizing Unscented
Body Lotion
* Science Behind the
Product
Here is a partial list of ingredients in
SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Moisturizing Unscented Body Lotion
and the role that they play:
-
Butylene Glycol is a humectant or humidifying
agent and a delivery ingredient used in cosmetics to keep
products from melting in high heat or from freezing when
it is cold. It also helps the active ingredients to penetrate
into the skin.
-
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is derived
from coconuts and is considered to be an excellent emollient
and thickening agent.
-
Squalene is a natural organic compound.
The botanical source is derived and extracted from olives.
Squalene is used as a natural, oil-free moisturizer. It
contains essential fatty acids.
-
Simmondsia Chinesis Seed Oil (Jojoba),
helps promote healing of the skin in many ways: It has antimicrobial
properties, which means it actually discourages the growth
of some bacterial and fungal microbes that attack the skin.
In addition, the chemical composition of jojoba closely
resembles that of the skin's natural sebum, so it is easily
absorbed and rarely causes allergic reactions, even for
those individuals with the most sensitive skin.
-
SenePlex® Complex is the combination
of unique ingredients and raw materials contained within
a delivery system that allows for penetration and delivery
of the SenePlex® actives into the second layer of skin,
the dermis. SenePlex® Complex is an active ingredient that
is called a kinetic enzyme. That means SenePlex® Complex,
when delivered into the skin, creates energy that makes
cells grow from the bottom layer up to the surface layer
at a faster rate, therefore increasing the cellular renewal
process by an average of over 23% per user - independent
laboratory tested and verified, which then increases the
skin's
1. Moisturization (more natural moisture in cells)
2. Luminosity (light reflects off of moisture in cells)
3. Firmness & Elasticity (natural collagen and elastin improve
skin's performance by almost 50% per user within eight weeks
of use!)
Why is there no shea butter
in our SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Moisturizing Unscented Body
Lotion? Because we substituted the shea butter for Squalene.
Squalene is one of the natural ingredients we use because of
its oil-free moisturizing capabilities.
Is there a mechanical
shield in the Moisturizing Unscented Body Lotion?
No, the Moisturizing Unscented Body Lotion does not offer a
mechanical shield because there is no long lasting color pigment
in the formula.
What is the difference
between a mechanical shield and a chemical shield?
A chemical shield requires certain chemicals that will react
with the UV light and block the rays from the skin. A mechanical
shield has nothing to do with chemicals. It is a protective
covering; like placing a garment over your skin for protection
from sun exposure.
What is fragrance layering?
This is a method of applying a fragrance along with a matching
scented product such as a lotion or cream. Layering your fragrance
is a way to help keep the scent long-lasting on your skin. How
you combine these products ultimately depends upon your preference
and body chemistry. For example, if you have dry skin, SeneDerm®
with SenePlex® Moisturizing Unscented Body Lotion will work
best to keep your skin hydrated as perfume tends to last longer
on moisturized skin. If you have oily skin, applying a bit of
powder will help the fragrance to hold fast.
How can I best layer my
SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex® and my SeneDerm® with SenePlex®
Moisturizing Unscented Body Lotion?
There is no better time to moisturize and layer your fragrance
than immediately after your bath or shower. While your skin
is still plump and hydrated (Meaning: Do not dry your skin completely!),
apply your moisturizer and fragrance, together, to your skin.
The larger molecules of the lotion that cover the skin's surface
will help to 'seal into' your skin the moisture derived from
the water of your bath or shower, smooth onto your skin SeneDerm®
with SenePlex® Moisturizing Unscented Body Lotion to help maintain
the proper moisture content for your skin.

How to Have
a Million Dollar Smile
Introducing the Diamond
Collection - because your beauty has no limits and neither
does your SeneGence® product line! LipSense® continues to embrace
new, dramatic shades for the upcoming autumn season - and for
all seasons. New for the season, beauty junkies will find gloss,
sparkle and shimmer in every cosmetic form. Even the softest
neutral shades are suffused with flecks of tinsel.
LipSense® provides the final touch to your
makeup; without it no look is complete. As your skin tone changes
from season to season, so you should regularly re-assess your
LipSense® shades. The new tints can help you do just that and
the beautiful colors of the Diamond Collection are sparkling
with real diamond dust, so you too can have a smile dripping
in diamonds!
* Science Behind the Product
Here are a few of the ingredients in LipSense®
and what they do:
- Silica is used as a thickening agent in cosmetics.
- Mica is an earth mineral used to give products sparkle
and shine.
- Titanium Dioxide is an inert earth mineral used as a thickening
ingredient and sunscreen in cosmetics. It protects skin from
UVA and UVB radiation and is considered to have no risk of skin
irritation
- Diamond Dust - Helps to make your smile dazzling!
- SD Alcohol 40-B is thinner than water and can better suspend
the tiny ingredients that are needed in the product. As well
and just as important, SDA40 evaporates, so that when actually
placed on to the lip with the wand, the SDA40 delivers all the
needed ingredients of the lip color to the lips and then SDA40
evaporates, leaving behind the long lasting color technology.
Is SDAlcohol40 the same as Isopropyl
Alcohol?
SDA40 is completely opposite of isopropyl alcohol. To prove this
point think about this: Isopropyl Alcohol can be used to instantly
remove LipSense® Liquid Lip Color; where by SDalcohol40 is a necessity
to apply LipSense® onto the lips. Please do not confuse the two
alcohols.
It can sometimes be difficult explaining
the ingredients that SeneGence® uses, to a non scientist type
person (most of us!). An example of this is that simply based
upon a 'named' ingredient (and the popular interpretation there
of) is that there may be many variations and sources from which
to gather any one 'named' ingredient. There may exist 'Harsh'
sources and 'Mild' sources. There might exist ingredients from
animal resources as well as plant or natural sources and, of course
synthetic sources. There are also numerous ways in which 'named'
ingredients are mixed to produce or eliminate certain affects
of the original 'named' ingredient.

Dark skin and dark hair: Most shades of red, violet
Light skin and dark hair: Most shades of brown and beige
Red hair women: coral-red, brown and bronze colors
How to Create Different Shaped Lips
1. Small Mouth with Small Lips: These are easily corrected
by taking LinerSenseT liner outside the natural lip line. Work
slowly and steadily to form a perfect shape. Fill in with LipSense®
Liquid Lip Color. A LipSense® Highlighter shade on the upper
lip would also create an impression of fullness.
2. Large Mouth with Full Lips: Apply MakeSenseT liquid foundation
to the entire mouth, then outline with a dark shade of LipSense®
Liquid Lip Color just inside the natural contours of the mouth.
Then apply a layer of LipSense® of a lighter shade carefully
and accurately within this outline. Subdued shades work well
for this kind of mouth. Use medium toned LipSense® Liquid Lip
Colors and avoid dark browns, plums, electric brights or pale
shimmer shades.
3. Full Upper Lip: Apply MakeSenseT Foundation makeup to the
upper lip. Outline just inside its natural contour with LinerSenseT
and apply a dark shade of LipSense® Liquid Lip Color. Then outline
the lower lip just outside its natural contour and emphasize
by filling in with a lighter shade of LipSense®.
4. Full Lower Lip: Outline upper lip just outside its natural
contour with LinerSenseT. Apply a light shade of LipSense® and
in the center add a touch of Glossy Gloss. Apply MakeSenseT
Foundation makeup to the lower lip. Outline with LinerSenseT
just inside its natural contour. Then fill in with a darker
shade of LipSense®.
5. Wide Mouth: Cover the corners of the mouth with MakeSenseT
Foundation makeup or Concealer. Apply LipSense®, stopping a
few millimeters before the corners of the mouth are reached.
CONTOURING Your Lips
For Thin Lips:
Choose bright or strong colors. Avoid dark, dull or matte colors.
Thicken the new line until it covers the space between the line
and natural lip line.
For Medium Lips:
Define the cupids bow or V-shape at the center of the upper lip
along the natural lip line. Define the center bottom lip. Then
draw a line, still along your natural line from the outer corners
in, to meet the center lines.
For Full Lips:
Matte or muted lip colors will make the lips appear less full
and smaller (if that is your desire). Avoid light or bright colors.
Apply a thin coat of MakeSenseT Foundation along your natural
lip line or yellow tinted concealer (evens out skin tones) around
your lip area. Draw a fairly thick lip line just inside the natural
lip line then apply lip color.

SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Bronzer
* Science Behind the Product
Here is a partial list of some of the ingredients:
- Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is
currently the only active ingredient approved by the FDA for
sunless tanning. It interacts with the proteins in the outer
layer of your skin to produce a tan-like appearance without
sun exposure.
- Sorbitan and Sesquioliate
are thickening agents that are sometimes known as a synthetic
wax.
- Ceresin is a clay derived
thickening agent.
- Panthenol is a humectant,
emollient and moisturizer.
- Erythrulose is a natural keto-sugar
which reacts in complementary combination with DHA (dihydroxyacetone)
producing an even, non-streaky and longer tan.
- SenePlex® Complex is the mechanism
that speeds up the cellular renewal process. Producing cells
faster is the fundamental process that will produce plumper,
firmer, and better looking luminous skin. SenePlex®
Complex is an acid-free combination that increases skin
cell renewal. It increases collagen production by contributing
to skin firming. It evens skin tone by visibly minimizing the
appearance of minor scaring, discoloration and age-related fine
lines. A polysaccharide found in the algae calms irritation
and promotes healing. It visibly reduces inflammation and redness
of sensitive or irritated skin.
How does SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body
Bronzer with SenePlex® work?
SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Bronzer with
SenePlex® contains dihydroxyacetone (DHA). According
to the American Academy of Dermatology, the most effective self
tanning products contain dihydroxyacetone (DHA). as the active
ingredient. The tan is a chemical reaction between the DHA and
the amino acids and proteins in the outer layer on the skin surface.
It is not a dye, stain or paint. The reaction is non-toxic and
skin safe, without the damage associated with UV exposure. The
tan is temporary and will fade gradually over 3 to 10 days.
- Some people may be sensitive or allergic to the ingredients
found in SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Bronzer.
Try a test run with a dab on a small section of skin before
covering your entire body. If you notice an uncomfortable reaction,
discontinue use at once.
Do I need to apply a sunscreen?
The most important thing to remember about self tanning is
that SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Bronzer
does not protect your skin against the sun. When using the Body
Bronzer, slather yourself with the same amount of sunscreen you
would use if you were as pale as a ghost.
If I swim in a chlorinated pool, will
my sunless tan fade?
Long exposure to water, with or without chlorine, will fade
your sunless tan. Your outer skin cells will start to soak up
water, and that dilutes the tanning effect. The longer you are
in the water, the more your skin will fade. Using your SeneDerm®
Shea Butter Body Bronzer regularly over a period of time will
saturate the skin better and your sunless tan will hold up longer
in water, but it will still be affected. It is reported that applying
a waterproof sunscreen before you get in the water prevents the
sunless tan from fading as quickly.
Can I hide my scars by self tanning?
Scars are a bit unpredictable. Mostly, they darken very little
or not at all. The more recent the scar, the less Body Bronzer
it will absorb. Please note that stretch marks are scars! Stretch
marks that are a few years old will be disguised by sunless tanners;
new ones will not absorb the lotion and may look more prominent
(if this gets you down, keep in mind that stretch marks and scars
don't tan in the sun, either - and the sun will impair healing).
Your freckles and moles will also darken along with the rest of
your skin. In fact, some colorless moles may become significantly
darker. This is a sad fact of sunless tanning.
If you're pregnant or nursing, experts recommend
checking with your physician before applying
According to the American Pregnancy Association,
DHA is considered safe for pregnant woman. However, their editors
also say, "The only concern is whether the active ingredient,
dihydroxyacetone (DHA), is able to penetrate the skin. Studies
do not confirm that it can, but some health care providers encourage
women to wait until after the first trimester, just to play it
safe."
Is it okay for men to use SeneDerm®
Shea Butter Body Bronzer with SenePlex®?

Butter Me Up!
SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Cream with SenePlex®
Super smooth, silky skin can be an obsession
and this ultra-luxurious feeling can be achieved with the use
of our SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Cream with SenePlex®. Along
with rich moisturizing olive oil, a natural source of tocopherols
(Vitamin E), it delivers deep conditioning like you've never
felt. Enriched with the anti-aging properties of the SenePlex®
Complex and creamy emollients, our Butter melts into your skin,
just like the real thing, leaving it conditioned and feeling
restored. SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Cream with SenePlex® is
so rich, it almost feels fattening!
* Science Behind the Product
Here is a partial list of ingredients in the
SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Cream with SenePlex®:
- Mineral Oil (refined for molecular sizing) is a clear
and odorless oil. It is very mild and can't become a solid or
clog pores.
- Shea Butter and Olive Oil are both natural antioxidants
high in unsaponifiables, which is a large group of compounds
called plant sterolins. This ingredient is considered a must
for emollience in skin care. Two of the natural oils with the
highest unsaponifiables are shea butter and olive oil (followed
closely by avocado oil and sesame oil). They have a superior
moisturizing effect on the upper layer of the skin and can aid
in reducing scars. They also help to boost the ability of the
next, and our most important ingredient.
- SenePlex® Complex is the mechanism that speeds up the cellular
renewal process. Producing cells faster is the fundamental process
that produces plumper, firmer, healthy, beautiful, more luminous
skin.
- Retinyl Palmitate is a derivative of Vitamin A. It is
effective in improving skin texture, color and tone.
- Tocopherol or Vitamin E is considered to be an antioxidant
superstar.
How does the SenePlex® Complex provide
moisture content to the different parts of your body?
- There are two ways to moisturize your skin: One is to
replace water by eating and drinking; the other one is to attract
moisture from the air. There's water all around us - we just
don't see it. It's called water vapor. Think about it: When
the relative humidity is 95%, you know it's very moist in the
air.
- Different parts of your body have varying moisture contents.
When SenePlex® penetrates the skin, it normalizes the moisture
content for the part of the body it is applied. It won't alter
the moisture content of your skin or provide additional moisture
to any unneeded areas of the skin. The complex helps to balance
and restore moisture content within areas of the skin where
levels need to be increased. It's the skin and SenePlex® together
that actually creates a restoration process. SenePlex® creates
the mechanism for the cells and the body to balance the moisture
content of the skin.
Indulge yourself in a spa facial!
During these dog days of summer, has all the air conditioning,
sun and chlorine wreaked havoc on your skin? Is your face screaming
for moisture? Try this:
- Instead of removing your SenseCosmetics® with Fooops®,
use SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Cream with
SenePlex®. Gently massage it in, all over your face and
your make-up will just melt away. It's true! (Remember the commercial
for good old fashioned cold cream?) Then, gently place a warm
wash cloth on your face and feel the steam and stress just fade
away. Rinse and repeat with the warm wash cloth until the color
is gone completely. For those with normal to oily skin, you
are finished. No need to further moisturize. For those with
normal to dry skin, you may choose to follow up with washing
your face with your SeneDerm® with SenePlex®
3 in 1 Cleanser, and moisturize with your choice of SeneDerm®
with SenePlex® Evening Moisturizers, Normal to Oily or Normal
to Dry Evening Moisturizer. Your skin will feel amazing! This
is one of Joni's favorite ways to treat herself at the end of
a long day!
Ideal for post-shower or bathing to
seal in moisture
- Apply your SeneDerm® Shea Butter
Body Cream with SenePlex® immediately post shower, while
your skin is still damp, to ensure that its humectants lock
in the highest possible level of hydration. To layer SenePlex®
complex, first moisturize with SeneDerm® Body Lotion.
- A small dollop size drop of SeneDerm®
Shea Butter Body Cream with SenePlex® can be applied
to damp, clean hair as a deep leave-in treatment for dry and
extremely damaged hair. Comb through, place a shower cap on
and run your blow dryer over the cap for approximately five
minutes. The heat allows the hair follicles to open up and receive
the nutrients. Leave on for 20 minutes and wash thoroughly,
with very warm water followed by a cool water final rinse.
- SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Cream
with SenePlex® is a wonderful massage lubricant
as it works deep into the tissue to repair skin damaged from
dryness, cuts, old scars and over-exposure due to outdoor elements.
- To keep your hands and nails looking great you have to
keep them protected: SeneDerm® Shea Butter
Body Cream with SenePlex® works wonders on thin or brittle
nails and protects them from the sun and chlorine.
- For the man in your life - don't forget to set a jar by
his bed side for night time application that will help alleviate
extremely dry and rough skin conditions.
Treating Rough, Dry Feet
- Use SeneDerm® Shea Butter Body Cream
with SenePlex® on your CLEAN, MOIST feet every night,
massaging the cream in well. You would do well to ALSO start
the day with a dab!
Softening Cracked Heels
- Cracked heels are uncomfortable and not very pretty during
the summer months. They really show in strappy, feminine sandals.
During the winter you can hide them, but cold weather and indoor
heat sap moisture away, nonetheless. Regardless of the season,
your best bet is to exfoliate daily while you're in the shower;
pumice stone or foot files (they're like nail files, only bigger)
are great for softening calluses. Then carefully pat them dry
and immediately apply SeneDerm® Shea Butter
Body Cream with SenePlex®. It targets problem areas such
as your heels and toe calluses. Before bed, slather it on and
slip into a pair of socks for intense healing while you sleep.
Listen To Your Skin!
The tendency to over-moisturize undermines the skin's capacity
to keep itself taut. Allow yourself to be guided by the changing
condition of your skin - and don't be frightened to leave it bare
occasionally.
- SKIN FACTOIDS
* Skin is the largest organ of the body. It has two layers:
The outer layer or EPIDERMIS produces sebum which is oil that
makes the layer water-proof; the inner layer or DERMIS has oil
(sebaceous) glands, sweat glands, nerves, blood vessels and
hair follicles.
* Skin helps to get rid of toxins.
* 30,000 dead skin cells fall off the epidermis every minute.
These dead skin cells make up at least 90% of the dust around
the house.
* Light skin has a higher tendency to wrinkle compared to dark
skin.
Tips for Dry Skin
- Learn To Love Plants - Plants perform much the same job
as a humidifier, keeping more moisture in the air. Keep them
watered and see what a difference they can make. (This must
be why Joni surrounds herself with plants in her home and in
the office!)
- Exercise - Exercise increases blood flow and thus the supply
of oxygen and nutrients to your skin. These factors help skin
look dewy and firm, undermining dry skin's brittle stiffness.
- Water is your best friend! I feel pretty confident in
saying you will probably never drink too much water!

Be Remembered Beautifully!
When was the last time you were able to say
that your favorite fragrance was also part of your anti-aging
skin care regimen? We know your answer is never - until now!
With just a spritz of your SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex® by SeneGence®,
you have added yet another amazing layer of SenePlex® protection.
SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex® is a revolutionary blend of SkinCare
and Scent.
* Science Behind the Product
Here is a partial list of ingredients in SeneCa
Parfum with SenePlex® and their purpose:
- Fragrances include:
Chinese Gardenia - The Chinese Gardenia is derived from
the flowers of Gardenia Florida which is a native of southeastern
China . Gardenias were originally found only in China and Japan
, but today there are over 200 different species of gardenia
in existence throughout the world.
Vanilla it tied to feelings of warmth, softness and caring.
The scent has proven positive and beneficial effects beyond
its association with current fashion, changing values or even
childhood memories. It is a classic aroma.
Ylang-Ylang is a fresh, floral, sweet and slightly fruity
fragrance. The name means "flower of flowers" in the Asian dialect
of Tagalog. In Indonesia , ylang-ylang flowers are spread across
the bed of a newlywed couple.
- SenePlex® Complex is the mechanism that speeds up
the cellular renewal process. Producing cells faster is the
fundamental process that will produce plumper, firmer, and better
looking luminous skin.
SenePlex® Complex is an acid-free combination that increases
skin cell renewal. It increases collagen production by contributing
to skin firming. It evens skin tone by visibly minimizing the
appearance of minor scaring, discoloration and age-related fine
lines. A polysaccharide found in the algae calms irritation
and promotes healing. It visibly reduces inflammation and redness
in sensitive or irritated skin.
Fragrances can be classified into several
families by the themes that are contained within. Here are just
a few:
- Floral: Fragrances that are dominated by the scent
of one or more types of flowers.
- Orientals or Ambers: A large fragrance class featuring
vanilla and animal scents together with flowers and woods, also
bringing to mind images of the Far East .
- Citrus: The light, fresh character of citrus notes
is often combined with more feminine scents (flowers, fruits
and Chypre).
- Aldehydic: Fragrances that incorporate the
family of chemicals known as aldehydes which is an organic compound.
Chanel No. 5 was the first aldehydic perfume.
SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex®
is categorized as a Floral-Amber
What is Perfume?
- Perfume
Perfume is the strongest concentrated form of fragrances. Women's
fine fragrances are traditionally manufactured as perfume strength.
SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex® can last all day and still be detected
for several days even after a shower.
- Cologne
Cologne is diluted in strength compared to perfume. Cologne
is applied well as a short spray. You will often see women spray
the air and walk into the mist to avoid getting too much fragrance
on their skin and clothing. Cologne provides a fairly strong
scent for the whole day. It is usually not detectable a day
or two later after taking a shower etc.
- Eau de Toilette
Eau de Toilette is a much diluted form of perfume used mostly
in spray bottles. European women like to use the traditional
perfume form of fragrance (believing that toilette is somehow
inferior) while American women like convenience and often use
the spray form of applying fragrances. Toilette is so diluted
that it can be sprayed several times all over the body without
applying too much fragrance on skin and clothing. The majority
of fragrances sold in mass distribution markets are Eau de Toilette.
How is Perfume made?
Perfume is made from about 78% to 95% of specially denatured
ethyl alcohol and a mixture of fragrant essential oils and aromatic
compounds used to give a pleasant smell. The amount and type of
oils and compounds dictate the strength category by which it is
identified.
- Aromatic Compounds
· Perfume extract: 20%-40% aromatic compounds
· Eau de Parfum: 10-30% aromatic compounds
· Eau de toilette: 5-20% aromatic compounds
· Eau de Cologne: 2-3% aromatic compounds
- Essential Oils
· Perfume is the costliest form of fragrance
with a minimum of 22% of essential oils
· Eau de Parfum comes next with between 15 and 22% essential
oils
· Eau de Toilette has 8 to 15 % essential oils
· Eau de Cologne has only 4% essential oils
For those who crave super subtlety Eau de Fraiche with 1 to
3% essential oils is the lightest dilution of fragrance.
Fragrance Notes are used to describe
the various scents within a fragrance. Fragrance develops at different
stages based on the notes. Here is a summary of the three varying
notes:
- Top Notes: Create the scents that form a person's
initial impression of a perfume. The top note provides the "WoW"
factor of a fragrance; as it can be somewhat bold. The aromas
that contribute to top notes evaporate quickly.
- Middle Notes (Heart Note): Emerges as the top note
fades. The middle note imparts the true personality and character
of the fragrance. Scents from this note class surface anywhere
from two minutes to one hour after the application of a perfume.
- Base Notes tenaciously hold the entire fragrance
until the last impression disappears. The compounds of this
layer are usually not identified until up to 30 minutes after
the application of the perfume.
SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex® contains:
· Top Notes of: Italian Mandarin, Magnolia, Blackberry and Peony
· Middle Notes of: Chinese Gardenia, Orange Blossom, Bulgarian
Rose and Ylang-Ylang
· Base Notes of: Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Musk and Vanilla
Always wait for the true smell of the SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex®
to emerge after it is applied. This may take 5-10 minutes. Do
not judge it immediately after it is applied. Fragrances can smell
different on different people as the oils combine with everyone
in a slightly different way.
Tips for Wearing Perfume
Apply SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex®
to pulse points such as the folds in the crook of your elbow and
back of knees, wrist, neck and cleavage. Make sure you do not
rub wrists together as this crushes the layers. Always work up
the body as the scent rises.
Spritzing a little SeneCa Parfum with
SenePlex® into the air and walking through it is helpful
as it diffuses the fragrance all over your body.
Keep your SeneCa Parfum with SenePlex®
bottle away from direct heat and out of sunlight. You will certainly
know if it has changed, as you'll notice that the fragrance will
look darker in the bottle.
Put a few drops of SeneCa Parfum with
SenePlex® onto an oil burner to scent your bedroom.

Last week we discussed the benefits of summer
exfoliation. Now we will talk about EXFOLIATION of the skin
for general purposes. As dead skin cells constantly rise to
the surface layer, so should your desire to EXFOLIATE and remove
them. Exfoliation helps to speed up the process of skin flaking
and shedding by taking off the uppermost, dead layer of cells
to expose the finer, more translucent tissue underneath.
Smooth Talkin' Part
Two
* Science Behind the Product
The SeneGence® products aiding in exfoliating
and polishing the skin are:
The exfoliating ingredient that all of these above listed
SeneGence® products have in common is our Volcanic Ash, collected
from the exotic island of Vanuatu. It is one of the nucleus components
of our entire product line.
Why do we use volcanic ash? Because
of its amazing ability to attract impurities. Similarly, this
ingredient is also remarkably successful at targeting impurities
related to cigarette smoking and its effects on the skin.
How do we prepare the volcanic ash for
use in SeneGence® products? We crush the granular form
of the ash into different degrees of fine powder (depending upon
the SeneGence® product it will be added to), because fine powders
have the ability to absorb oil or water in much greater mass than
the powder itself. Here's a picture for you: One pound of powdered
ash could absorb up to two pounds of oil or water. It has the
same effect on your skin - just from a smaller perspective.
* Product Tips
- SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Body Scrub softens and smoothes
the thickest parts of your skin, such as the bottoms of your
feet, elbows and hands. It can also be used on your face, but
great care must be used not to apply the product with too much
pressure from your fingertips. When used on your face, a follow-up
cleansing can be done with the 3-in-1 Cleanser if you wish to
reduce the residual feeling that the extra emollients provide.
- On alternate days when time does not allow you to use the
SeneDerm® Face and Body Moisturizing Mask as a mask, it can
be used as a superior polishing product that is both gentle
and extremely effective. It contains the finest ground volcanic
ash. Best results are attained when you polish after all make-up
has been removed. After using of the Mask (as a scrub) follow
with your choice of the SeneDerm® with SenePlex® 3-in-1 Cleansers,
Normal to Oily or Normal to Dry.
- SeneDerm® with SenePlex® 3-in-1 Cleanser (Normal to Oily)
is wonderful to use as an everyday cleanser because it not only
aids in exfoliation, but helps maintain moisture content, restores
the skins proper ph level and prepares your skin for the next
step, that of moisturization.
What are the different types of exfoliators?
* There are two main types of exfoliators:
Mechanical and chemical
- Mechanical exfoliating is skin treatment where the upper
layers of dead skin cells are sloughed off using a loofah, sponge,
brush or by other means. Mechanical exfoliating products contain
minuscule pieces of grit that, when rubbed on your skin, dislodge
the dead skin cells. The SeneGence® preferred grit comes from
volcanic ash.
- Chemical exfoliating does the same task as their mechanical
siblings but by using mild acids in place of the grit. Chemical
exfoliating products usually contain alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy
acids, or salicylic acids.
Why do I need to exfoliate?
The average human generates a new layer of skin every two
to four weeks. At the end of the cycle, the old, dead cells on
the surface are shed. The skin will start to appear dull, the
texture becomes rough and the skin's capacity to absorb moisturizing
products becomes less. Stress, pollution and UV rays also tend
to slow down epidermal turnover time. If the old, dead skin cells
are not removed, they can clog the sebaceous pores, leading to
superficial spots or blackheads. If you do not exfoliate on a
regular basis your skin will become clogged with toxins and will
not be able to breathe. This will result in dull, oily looking
skin and may cause skin conditions such as acne. It also means
that blood cannot circulate adequately, and toxins will continue
to build up.
How often should I exfoliate?
It depends on how gentle the product is that you are using.
All of our SeneGence® products are gentle enough to use every
day. However, listen to your skin and you will be able to feel
when it needs polishing the most. You should at least try to exfoliate
your skin once or twice a week.
Women with cellulite should try to exfoliate the thighs daily,
if possible. Alternatively, use an exfoliating hand glove when
washing, in order to stimulate the blood circulation and dispose
of toxic waste products.
Exfoliation tips:
- If you exfoliate regularly, keep moisturizer on your face
at all times. Exfoliating causes the skin to dry out and dry
skin is an invitation for skin to wrinkle.
- Brush dry skin before getting into the shower or bath.
You can use a loofah, exfoliating gloves or a body exfoliating
brush. Start at the soles of the feet and work your way up.
- Exfoliation and contact lenses
- Please: Use care exfoliating if you are a contact lens
wearer, particularly with rigid gas permeable varieties. The
tiny particles of ash can lodge underneath the lens and scratch
your cornea! Keep your eyes shut while rinsing, and rinse well,
as the particles can run down your face into your eyes from
your forehead, even if you're cautious. This may seem self-evident,
but you can't be too careful with your eyes!
- Never over exfoliate with excessively abrasive exfoliating
products, or you run the risk of bursting the delicate blood
vessels under the skin. If the vessels burst, your skin may
appear permanently flushed. This condition, known as Telangiectasia,
must then be treated using laser surgery.
- One of the reasons men's skin may tend to look more youthful
than women's is because men tend to exfoliate daily when they
shave.

Summer is now upon us with winter layers long
gone. It's time to flash some flesh and prepare your skin for
sun, sand and summer shades of color. Polishing every part of
your body is important in order to make your skin ready for
the summer months. Try buffing your skin with SeneDerm®
with SenePlex® Body Scrub, at least 2-3 times a week
to slough away unwanted, dry, summer-starved skin.
Smooth Talk:
Make your skin silky smooth this summer
* Science Behind the Product
Here is a partial list of ingredients in
the SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Body Scrub:
* Mineral Oil (refined)
is clear, odorless oil. It is very mild and can't become a
solid and clog pores.
* Shea Butter, Coco Butter and Coconut Oil are all
emollients that soften and soothe the skin. They contain vitamins
and ingredients that the skin is partial to and they help
to boost the ability of the . (keep reading!)
* SenePlex Complex® which is the
mechanism that speeds up the cellular renewal process. Producing
cells faster is the fundamental process that will produce
plumper, firmer, better looking luminous skin.
* Retinyl Palmitate is a derivative
of Vitamin A. It is effective in improving skin texture, color
and tone. ¨ Tocopherol or Vitamin E is considered to be an
antioxidant superstar.
* Sodium Hyaluronate is a humectant,
which is an ingredient that attracts moisture from the atmosphere.
Sodium Hyaluronate is about 100 times more effective as a
humectant than Glycerin.
* Volcanic Ash, from Vanuatu,
is our natural exfoliate. It gently polishes the skin while
stimulating circulation to remove superficial dead skin cells,
producing a healthier glow to the skin.
SeneDerm® with SenePlex®
Body Scrub softens hands and feet beautifully between
manicures and pedicures because the emollients make it so rich.
The skin naturally exfoliates by
shedding its dead top layers however, you will exfoliate mechanically
by using our Body Pooof and Body Scrub.
Use SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Body
Scrub on cleansed, damp skin.
Rest your thumb against your skin
(this ensures that you don't use the full power of your arm)
and use very light, circular movements.
Never rub your skin until it changes color and do not
use any exfoliating product near your eyes.
* Tips for summer exfoliating
Face: Exfoliate at
least once a week to remove dead skin cells and help your
products (including sunscreen and moisturizers) penetrate
deeper into the epidermis and become more effective.
Body: Exfoliate prior to applying
your self tanner for an even and natural glow
Bikini Area: Exfoliating regularly
will help prevent ingrown hairs and promotes smoother skin.
If you have oily skin, you can gently exfoliate about 3-4
times a week. In the summer, exfoliating needs to be kicked
up a notch because sweat acts like a layer of glue which will
cause dead skin cells to stick together and coat your face and
body.

A rich cleansing gel that creates a gentle
foaming wash experience. SeneDerm® with
SenePlex® Body Wash, with its smooth and silky aloe base,
will invigorate and awaken the senses, while leaving your skin
soft and supple. Gentle but thorough cleansing lets you wash
frequently without over drying.
Wash it All Away
* Science Behind the Product
Here is a partial list of key ingredients
in SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Body Wash:
¨
*
Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate is used primarily as a cleansing
agent
* Cocamidopropyl Betaine is considered
one of the more gentle surfactants used in skincare products.
Surfactant is an acronym for Surface Active Agent. Surfactants
degrease and emulsify oils and fats and suspend soil, allowing
them to be washed away.
* Butylene Glycol is a humectant (helps
attract moisture into the skin) and delivery agent. It is used
to help active ingredients penetrate the skin.
* Panthenol is a form of Vitamin B5
and can be effective for hydration.
* Aloe Barbadensis is Aloe Vera and
used as the base ingredient in the Body Wash, instead of water
which helps to soothe the skin. The Aloe also provides a constant
means of lathering, because of its natural foaming action, without
the use of harsh detergents.
* Sodium Hyaluronate is a humectant,
which is an ingredient that will attract moisture from the atmosphere.
Sodium Hyaluronate is about 100 times more effective as a humectant
than Glycerin.
Oil-derived impurities from the atmosphere settle upon
your skin both day and night while you sleep. If the impurities
were not oil derived, you could simply use water to wash them
off. Water and oil do not mix. Because oils of the impurities
do not dissolve in water, you need a cleanser to make impurities
soluble enough to wash away. SeneGence® washes (and cleansers)
are made of a molecule that has, on one end, an oil to attract
the oil base impurity. The other end of the same molecule has
water, for the ability to wash away (water attracts water).
When you finish bathing or showering, you will then rinse your
skin - removing the oil based impurities that attached to one
end of the molecule, as the water washes away the attached water
end of the molecule.
Aloe juice (instead of water) is used as the bulk ingredient
of the SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Body Wash, along with the cleansers.
So, not only are you cleaning the skin, you are soothing the
skin.
Because of the amazing humectants in the Body Wash, it will
moisturize your skin, even if you forget to! That is why your
skin does not feel tight and dry after you towel off.
Only a very small amount of product
is necessary for use, along with the Body Pooof. You will be
amazed at the amount of rich, luxurious lather created from
just a quarter sized dollop!

If you don't have a flawless complexion, concealer
is one of the most valuable cosmetics to use in your quest for
beauty perfection!
Concealer = Camouflage
A woman's greatest ally!
They may look like the last thing you'd want
to put on your face, but creamy color correctors hide a multitude
of flaws. Let's talk about how to best use all three brand new
shades of MakeSenseT Concealer with SenePlex®:
Ginger - Diminishes Dark Circles
Lavender - Gets Yellow Out
Vanilla - Hits the Spot
* Science Behind the
Product
Here is a partial list of some of the
ingredients in the MakeSenseT Concealer with SenePlex®
and the role that each plays:
*Cyclomethicone
is a silicone that feels silky on the skin, introduces moisture
and is a water-binding agent that holds up well, even when the
skin becomes wet.
* Propylene Glycol
is from Vanuatu and used as a skin smoothing and polishing agent.
¨ *Urea offers good water-binding
and exfoliating properties for skin
* SenePlex® Complex is the combination
of unique ingredients and raw materials contained within a delivery
system that allows for penetration and delivery of the SenePlex®
Complex actives into the second layer of skin, the dermis. SenePlex®
Complex is an active ingredient that is called a kinetic enzyme.
That means SenePlex® Complex, when delivered into the skin, creates
energy that makes cells grow from the bottom layer up to the surface
layer at a faster rate. It increases the cellular renewal process
by an average of over 23% per user - independent laboratory tested
and verified! The skin then increases in:
1. Moisturization (more natural moisture
in cells)
2. Luminosity (light reflects off of moisture in cells)
3. Firmness & Elasticity (natural collagen and elastin improve
skin's performance) by almost 50% per user within 8 weeks of use!
Lavender
- Gets the Yellow Out: A lovely blue-based shade that adds a healthy
glow to olive or yellow-toned skin (or bruises). It can also be
used as a beautiful eye shadow or liner to make green eyes pop!
Ginger - Diminishes
Dark Circles: A yellow-based beige concealer that counteracts
blueness (deep bruising) and dark circles under the eyes.
Vanilla
- Hits the Spot: Lighter and pinker than Ginger. For fair complexions,
pink-toned color correctors reduce the yellow in skin to exude
an overall radiance. It is easy to use on slight discolorations
and spots. Color Correctors and Concealers are always applied
before foundation. They work by using opposing colors to counteract
specific flaws and their purpose is to even out skin tone. Good
concealing is all about light and color. Use light and color to
affect what you see, how you look and ultimately how you feel.
Highlight your best features with light colors. Reduce the appearance
of fine lines and flaws with light reflectors or darker shades.
Fun in the Sun Tip
Everyone's skin turns a few shades darker in the summertime, even
if you're diligent about applying sun protection. If you're tan
and want to cover only imperfections, apply a concealer that's
at least one shade darker than your regular color, then brush
on a SeneDerm® Translucid Bronzer in place of a foundation.
How do I find the right
concealer shade for me?
To choose a neutral all-around concealer in your same skin tone
family, apply a test shade to the center of your face (next to
your nose) and dab it outward towards your jaw line - it should
disappear and blend perfectly. If your makeup sits up on your
skin and you can see where you're putting it, it's the wrong color.
Does it look too yellow? Try a cooler shade. If it looks too pinkish,
go for a warmer tone.
How can I make concealer
look natural?
Our creamy concealer makes this job much easier but good blending
will always be the key! After choosing the right shade
for your specific requirements and skin tone, dot concealer in
the areas needed. Pat gently using a cosmetic sponge or blender
brush, then layer your foundation over the concealer and gently
pat until the two are blended together. Set with your chosen shade
of SeneDerm® Translucid Loose Powders
and go!
How do I get rid of dark
circles under my eyes?
Dark circles can be the result of lack of sleep, stress, staring
at the computer for long periods of time, not drinking enough
water, working late hours and heredity. All of these can be minimized
and controlled (except for heredity).
To conceal darkness and bags under the eyes,
place the concealer on the shadow beneath the bag, not
the bag itself; otherwise you'll end up highlighting, rather
than hiding the problem.
TIP: You can remove years from
your face by applying a slightly lighter concealer to the little
downward turning lines at the corner of your mouth.

in the SeneDerm® with SenePlex® Moisturizing
Hand and Body Lotion and the role that they play:
Why is there no shea butter in our SeneDerm®
with SenePlex® Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion? Because
we substituted the shea butter for Squalene. Squalene is one of
the natural ingredients we use because of its oil free moisturizing
capabilities.
Why is there a fragrance in our Moisturizing
Hand and Body Lotion? The first thing someone does
when they test a product is to smell it. In the first 10 seconds
they do that, they have already created an image of how they think
this product will perform based upon the look and smell of the
product. The wrong smell will make a negative impact, so we try
to make the product look nice, smell nice and feel nice simply
for that emotional satisfaction. The combination of the ingredients
contained within the formulation actually produces a slightly
pungent smell, there fore we have added a light fragrance to enhance
the scent.
Why do we use fragrances and 100% completely
natural scents within our products? We use Natural
Essential Oils as a scent and as a delivery system. Most natural
essential oils, with the exception of lavender and a few others
smell horrible! That is why we use both essential oils and some
fragrances.
What is the difference between a mechanical
shield and a chemical shield? A chemical shield
requires certain chemicals that will react with the UV light and
block the rays from the skin. A mechanical shield has nothing
to do with chemicals. It is a protective covering; like placing
a garment over your skin for protection from sun exposure.
Is there a mechanical shield in the
Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion? No, the Moisturizing
Hand and Body Lotion does not offer a mechanical shield because
there is no long lasting color pigment in the formula.
Why do my hands seem so much dryer than
the rest of my skin? Your hands are usually more
often exposed to water, cold, heat and extreme elements such as
sunlight. Did you know that handling paper will draw off moisture
from your skin? Our hands tend to require more moisturizing care;
adding moisture and just as important, covering the skin with
a protective coating that helps to 'seal in' the moisture when
applied.
How can I best moisturize my body?
There is no better time to moisturize than immediately after your
bath or shower. Treat yourself to a warm (not hot) bath infused
with our moisturizing Foaming Milk Bath with SenePlex® Complex
or shower with our Body Wash. While your skin is still plump and
hydrated (meaning - do not dry your skin completely. It is best
to apply moisturizers to your skin when slightly damp. The larger
molecules of the lotion that cover the skin's surface will help
to 'seal into' your skin the moisture derived from the water of
your bath or shower), smooth onto your skin SeneDerm®
with SenePlex® Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion to help
maintain the proper moisture content for your skin.
